The High School serves its students in grades nine through twelve focusing on the whole student through the mission and philosophy. Our goal at ICS is to educate students to be life-long learners, instilling respect for all people and nations while developing each student mentally, socially, spiritually, and physically to their fullest potential. Our high school students are challenged by an integration of biblical principles and college preparatory curriculum taught by highly qualified/certified instructors. Honors and Advanced Placement classes also contribute to the challenging program offered at ICS.

The High School academic program is made up of the following subject areas: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Religious Studies, Foreign Languages, Fine & Performing Arts, Physical Education, Business, English as a Second Language and Computer Science.

English
The English department offers classes not only according to grade level ability on the college preparatory scheduling like English Composition and Writing, British, American and World Literature but also enrichment and exposure to college level work in AP (Advanced Placement) English Composition and Language.

Mathematics
The Mathematics department offers classes not only according to grade level ability on the college preparatory scheduling like Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and Pre-Calculus but also enrichment and exposure to honors and college level work with classes such as Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra II, Honors Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. Classes taken at the advanced level provide a foundation for students pursuing a career in engineering or architecture.

Sciences
The Science department offers classes not only according to grade level ability on the college preparatory scheduling like Introduction to Chemistry/Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Physics but also enrichment and exposure to college level work in AP Biology, AP Chemistry and AP Physics. Classes taken at the advanced level provide a foundation for students pursuing a career in the medical fields, engineering and medical research.

Social Studies
The Social Studies department offers classes not only according to grade level ability in light of the college preparatory scheduling like World Geography, Modern Era History, US History, Government and Economics but also enrichment and exposure to college level work in AP World History.

Religious Studies
The Religious Studies department offers classes that provide a survey of Judeo-Christian History and Literature along with a world view development and study of world religions. These classes are Judeo-Christian History and Literature I & II, Philosophy I & II.

Foreign Languages
The Foreign Languages department offers courses not only that are introductory such as Spanish I, II or III, Mandarin I, II, or III, Thai 9, 10, 11 & 12 (for Thai Nationals), Thai for Internationals and French I, II or III, but also advanced courses such as Honors Spanish and AP Spanish.

Fine & Performing Arts
The Fine & Performing Arts department offers classes in the area of Art, Choral, Instrumental and Theatre with such classes as Art I & II, Design Studio, Choir, Audition Choir, Band and Jazz Band.

Physical Education
The Physical Education department offers classes that bring about individual and team sports development such as Physical Education I & II, and Health Education.

Business
The Business department offers classes in the area of Introduction to Business, Marketing, and Business Math. These courses give a student interested in majoring in business in college a foundational understanding of the field.

English as a Second Language
The ESL department collaborates with core teachers to help ESL students become successful not only in the ESL class but the mainstream classes as well.

Computer Science
The Computer Science department offers classes that are not only introductory such as Computer Applications and Desktop Publishing but also enrichment and advanced classes like Design Studio and Yearbook.

Media Center
The Media Center is open to students to do academic research using the EBSCO database. Students have use of the library during break, lunch, guided studies class and through academic class visits. Students also visit the library to read and checkout books of interest or research for personal or school related classes.
