Dear Parents of Elementary Students,

The end of this school year is fast approaching.  Like a marathon runner who puts his final burst of energy into the last stretch of the race, encourage your child to give his very best attention and effort into his studies and finish well. Your child’s mid-fourth quarter progress report is available on RenWeb.

If your child has been attending GNC after school on Tuesdays, please note that the remaining dates for GNC are May 14 and May 21. May 21 is the last GNC for this year.

The elementary library is open again! The new software is working well and will provide more services to our students, which we will detail next school year. The last day to check out books from the library is May 17. All books need to be returned by May 23. Library classes for students will continue until the end of the school year. Students may use the internet to check out E-Books throughout the summer.

The last day of swimming during PE class for 1st through 5th grade is May 17
K4 and K5 start swimming in PE class on May 20.  June 5 is last PE swim day.

Calendar:
•    May 16 and 17- Scholastic Book Fair in E101 is open before, during, and after school. All are welcome to browse and purchase books for summer reading.. A percentage of the sales goes to increase ICS library book collection.
•    May 17- PTO’s Used Item Sale in the secondary cafeteria from 2:20 to 5:00 pm
•    May 24- No school; Visaka Bucha Day
•    May 25  - Graduation of Class of 2013 at ICS auditorium
•    May 28 and 29 – Elementary Art Show in E101. The room is open for viewing before, during, and after school. Come and enjoy the students’ artistic works.
•    June 6- Last day of school. School ends at 11:00 am. No lunch is served.
