Letter from Admissions

Susan Ostrowski Welcome to ICS.  My name is Susan Ostrowski and I am the Admissions Coordinator.  I am also the parent of ICS alumni who have gone on to pursue advanced degrees.   Therefore, I can personally attest to the quality of the education offered at ICS.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and have worked in both the public and private education sector in the U.S. and abroad.  Kuhn Bo Sakulapabtong, the Admission Secretary, has a Bachelor’s degree in English and has worked at ICS for many years.  As you browse the website and have any questions about the American system of education, curriculum, school activities, or the application process, we invite you to contact the admissions office or stop by for a campus tour.  We look forward to helping your family become part of the ICS community.

Why ICS?
Small class sizes, community building activities, and extracurricular programs ensure a personal touch to education.  Students, families and faculty find ICS to be a caring community where all are encouraged to become active participants. They learn to understand others, respect others, love others, and serve others in a world rich with diversity. In this environment, students are equipped with the critical thinking skills necessary for success both in and beyond the classroom. Our graduates have continued on to top colleges and universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Thailand. Visit our “Academic Profile” link for an overview of the academics at ICS.

Admissions Process
The admissions process begins with the completion of an application form. The Admissions Coordinator will help each prospective family through the application process. To ensure the admission of those students who can be successful in meeting the academic standards of the English speaking international classroom, students are admitted on the basis of school records, seat availability, language assessment and academic testing.

An application form is available in the admissions office or can be found on this website. A list of the required supporting documents is found on the last page of the application form. Previous academic records are essential to the admissions process. School records that are not in English must be translated by a certified translation service and submitted with the original. If testing is required, parents will be contacted personally to schedule an appointment. Once the documentation and testing is complete, the grade level principal will review the application packet to determine acceptance. Parents will be contacted in person with the admission decision. Visit the “Admissions Process” link for details.
